Open Source ~ Open Data ~ Open Maps ~ Open Minds

FOSS4G North America is a volunteer-organized conference dedicated to bringing together members of the open-source geospatial community. The conference serves as a gathering place where attendees can forge meaningful connections, explore cutting-edge geospatial technologies, and spark fresh ideas that push the boundaries of what's possible with open-source tools.

Whether you're a seasoned developer, a GIS professional, or simply curious about the world of open geospatial software, FOSS4G NA offers an inclusive and collaborative environment where innovation and community thrive.

Experience Sacramento

Sacramento has nationally renowned food, excellent outdoor access, and a fun, midsize city atmosphere. The city's flat, grid-based layout and tree-lined streets make it highly walkable and bikeable, and Sacramento International Airport is just 15 minutes from downtown, with the Capitol Corridor Amtrak line also connecting from the Bay Area.

Once in the city, SacRT's light rail spans 43 miles across 54 stations, with ride-shares and bike rentals rounding out your options.

Beyond the famous farm-to-fork dining scene, visitors can explore the historic Old Sacramento Waterfront, the Crocker Art Museum, and the American River Parkway — all easily accessible from the city center.
